The Dominican Rite is the traditional liturgy of the Order of Preachers, celebrated by Dominican friars worldwide from its formalization in the early 1200s until the liturgical reforms of the late 1960s. Along with the Dominican breviary, this liturgy shaped the spirituality and preaching mission of the Order throughout its history. Since St. Anthony of Padua Parish has been continuously served by Dominican friars since its foundation in 1915, we are honored to be able to share this beautiful aspect of our Dominican patrimony with you. If you would like to learn to assist at the Dominican Rite at St. Anthony of Padua as an acolyte or in the schola (choir), please send an email to dominicanrite@sapparish.org.
